LMVFM RECEIVES GRANTS

Last year, Lutheran Military Veterans and Family Ministries submitted two grant requests, one to the Indiana LWML for $12,000, and one to the Ohio LWML
(Lutheran Women's Missionary Leagues) for $10,000 to be voted on during their respective biennial 2014 state conventions both of which took place this past weekend.
At the heart of both requests was the urgent need to prepare the church for her mission to provide effective ministry outreach to our veterans, military contractors and
their family members. Along with preparing the church, we must also prepare and equip care providers and community members by educating them on the unique challenges
and experiences that are unique to those who have served in or with our military.

Additionally, these grants would also help LMVFM continue in our ongoing mission of providing free direct care and counseling services and programs to those we serve.

On Sunday the 22d of June 2014, the results of the grant votes was announced, and we are happy to report that both grant requests, in their full amounts, were accepted.

We give thanks to God for leading us to submit these requests to both the Indiana and Ohio LWML's, and to the women of these mission societies who support our work.
May God continue to bless you all, and your efforts to support ministries like ours. You are truly women with servant's hearts.
